Obituary of Glenn L. Mansberger

Glenn L. Mansberger, 92, of New Cumberland, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in York Haven on April 25, 1924, he was the son of Granville and Violet Mansberger.
Glenn was a self employed building custodian. He was an U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II. Glenn was a member of the Eberlys Mill Church of God, Camp Hill. He was a member of the Shiloh American Legion Post 791, York. Glenn was an avid Nascar fan whose favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He also loved to go camping, walk through the woods, and work on street rods with his son Marlin. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Glenn was a wonderful father and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Annamae Irwin Mansberger; and two sons, Marlin E. Mansberger and Roger L. Mansberger.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra J. Cohick, whom he married on November 16, 1986; three daughters, Joyce E. Sipe wife of Al Dolatoski, and Sandra C. Bishop wife of Steve D., both of Mechanicsburg, June M. Long wife of William C. of New Cumberland, and Jean M. Pince wife of Michael of Linglestown; one son, Jim A. Mansberger husband of Patty H. of Mechanicsburg; one step daughter, Amy S. Cohick of New Cumberland; one brother, Gerald Mansberger husband of Marian of Etters; one sister Gladys Slaseman of York Haven; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, 2016, at 11 AM in the Eberly's Mill Church of God, 115 Creek Road, Camp Hill, with The Rev. James W. Moss, Jr., his pastor, officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Township. Friends will be received for a viewing on Friday in the church from 10 AM until time of the services.
