Gerald C. Eversmeyer, 65, of Hummelstown, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.<br> Born in North Platte, NE on March 17, 1951, he was the son of the late Robert and Perelle Gross Eversmeyer. <br> Jerry most recently worked for Bass Pro Shops as a sales associate, and was a range officer at Fort Indiantown Gap for ten years. He was a 1976 graduate of West Point, continuing his service in the Army for seventeen years. Jerry was a member of Palmyra Sportsmen’s Association, and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, building models, cooking, and sketching. Jerry’s greatest passion was history, especially in regard to the Civil War. He greatly enjoyed being stationed in Ansbach, Germany, early in his career and traveling across the United States with his family. <br> Jerry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna M. Cutter Eversmeyer, whom he married on June 19, 1976; his daughter, Adrianne L. Eversmeyer significant other of Mike Shultz of Lebanon; and his grandson, Daniel T. Eversmeyer. <br> Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at 7 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Interment with military honors will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 PM until time of the service. <br> In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 112 Sipe Avenue, Hummelstown, PA 17036.<br><br>Online condolences may be shared at www.trefzandbowser.com.

Gerald C. Eversmeyer, 65, of Hummelstown, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
