Christopher Stoe

Christopher “Chris” Jacob Stoe, 27, of Middletown, after his long battle with Huntington’s Disease succumbed to the disease and went to be with his Lord on Friday, August 5, 2016, with his loving family by his side. Born on February 19, 1989, in Switzerland, he was the son of Daniela P. Muhlematter Stoe Tingler wife of Bert Tingler of Middletown, and the late Raymond Thomas Stoe. Chris was a 2008 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School. He was a member of the Chess Club in both elementary and middle school. Chris was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Hershey Ward. He earned his Eagle Scout Award which is the highest rank of the Boy Scouts of America. Chris enjoyed air soft guns, video games, and putting together Legos; but most of all Chris was an avid Star Wars fan. In addition to his mother and father, Chris is survived by his brothers, Peter Conrad Stoe and Anakyn Tingler both of Middletown; his paternal grandparents, Elmer E., Jr., and Linda Brunner Stoe of Middletown; and his maternal grandparents, Christian and Lieselotte Muhlematter of Switzerland. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at 10 AM in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 4788 Union Deposit Road, Harrisburg, with Bishop Darin Curtis officiating. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster. The family will be receiving friends and family from 9 AM until time of the service. Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Delaware Valley Chapter, Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA), 525 Plymouth Road, Suite 314, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462, please specify “Family Services” or “Research for a Cure”.
