MARY S. SUTHERLAND, 73 years of Street, MD, died on Friday, September 2, 2016 in her home. Married for over 55 years, she was the wife of James A. Sutherland and a daughter of the late Frank and Emma Hazel (Moxley) Hodge. Born on January 1, 1943 in Sparta, NC, Mary had been a resident of Street, Maryland since 1955. She retired with 25+ years of service working as a custodian at North Harford Middle School in Pylesville, MD. A gardener at heart, Mary enjoyed flowers, drinking her coffee, wind chimes and the beautiful sounds that could be heard from them when the wind blew. Knick-knacks were a favorite, and she enjoyed sharing them with her family and friends. A woman who loved her Lord, Mary had been a member of Delta Chapel, Delta, PA. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: Three children- Patricia Nogle and her husband, Mark of Airville, PA Nicole Turowski and her husband, Scott of Churchville, MD James A. Sutherland, Jr. of Roanoke, VA Three sisters and four brothers Nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren Visitations will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. and from 10 – 11 a.m. on Thursday at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with Reverend Anthony Sadler officiating. Interment will be in Darlington Cemetery, Darlington, MD.
