Wilma Pyles Obituary

Wilma May Pyles, 92, of Blairs Mills, PA, passed away Wednesday evening, September 7, 2016, at Menno Haven. Born March 4, 1924, in Blairs Mills, she was a daughter of the late Edgar W. and Pearl Gifford Goshorn. Her beloved husband, William N. Pyles preceded her in death on November 10, 1976. Wilma was employed as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of Blairs Mills Brethren In Christ Church. She is survived by three siblings, Lena Goshorn of Blairs Mills, Wayne Goshorn of Linglestown, PA, and Budd Goshorn of Duncanon, PA; and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Goshorn of Marysville, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, Wilma is preceded in death by one brother, Jack Goshorn. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 12, 2016, at the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main Street, Dry Run, PA 17220. Rev. Roy Fahnestock and Clay MacTarnaghan will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday evening and one hour prior to the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blairs Mills Brethren In Christ Church, c/o Clay MacTarnaghan, 84 Clover Field Ct. Mifflintown, PA 17059.
