Rosalie Victoria Poznaniak, 75, of Chambersburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday morning, July 15, 2016, at Hershey Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born July 10, 1941 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Marie Slowikowski Wujek. Rosalie married the love of her life, Leonard W. Poznaniak, on September 27, 1969 and had one son, Brian L. Poznaniak, on February 25, 1971. She sadly leaves behind her loving husband of 46 years and beloved son and daughter-in-law (Yvonne A. Poznaniak) of Orrstown. Rosalie was an avid reader and loved to travel. Through the years, she enjoyed visiting many wonderful destinations in the US, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Europe with Leonard and their family. With Leonard, she attended Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Chambersburg where she was a long-time member. Her family would like Rosalie to be remembered for her glowing smile, sense of humor, giving and kind nature, infectious laugh, zest for life, and most of all, her love for God and her beloved family. She will be missed immensely by all who love her. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 30, 2016, in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
