Katherine Yeager

Katherine M. Yeager, age 85, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at the Chambersburg Hospital on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Born April 29, 1931, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Mary Hinkle McLaughlin. A 1949 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School, Mrs. Yeager went on to work at the former Stanley Company for a number of years and later at the South Mountain Restoration Center, where she retired. She enjoyed caring for people, spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Michael, dancing, and traveling. Surviving are three children, Michael Renzella of Chambersburg, PA; Michele Renzella (John Kanner) of Chambersburg, PA; and Tommy Renzella of Chambersburg, PA, nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Betty Fickes and Elsie Watts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Yeager and two daughters, Dawn Carroll and Peggy Bender. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at 11:30 AM in the Chambersburg Mennonite Church Cemetery, Chambersburg, PA, Deacon Richard Ramsey will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Lutheran Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202 or the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5035 Letterkenny Rd. West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
