Jerry E. Smith, age 38, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly at the Chambersburg Hospital on Saturday, September 10, 2016. Born in Charlottesville, VA on March 13, 1978, he was the son of Brenda J. and John E. Schult. A 1996 graduate of the Greencastle-Antrim High School, Jerry went on to HACC, where he earned several certifications. He was a CNC Machinist at Bowhead Intergrated Support at Letterkenny Army Depot, working in building 350, since 2011. Generous with his time, Jerry was devoted to helping and coaching in the Hamilton Heights Youth League, where he had served since 2005. An outdoorsman, Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his animals; however his most cherished time was spent with his children. In addition to his parents, Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Lindsay Engel Smith, whom he married on February 6, 2015; five cherished children, Brittany Hollinshead, Jade Smith, Meyah Smith, Hailey Jenkins, and Lincoln Smith; three siblings, Stephanie Haines (husband David) of Culpepper, VA, William Allen Smith of Port Charlotte, VA, and Eric Schult of AL; his mother and father in-law, Tracy and Gary Weller of Chambersburg, PA; and his aunt and uncle, Kathy and Sal Neri of Goshen, NY; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and brothers and sisters-in-law. The family will receive friends to celebrate Jerry’s life on Thursday, September 15, 2016, from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. The family requests the omission of flowers, and if desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Jerry E.
