Clyde Kimple Obituary

Clyde Edwin “Clydie” Kimple, 53, of Orrtanna, PA, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 16, 2016, surrounded by his family. Born July 8, 1963, he was a son of Clyde H. Kimple and the late Margaret “Peggy” Brown Kimple. Clydie was a 1981 graduate of CASHS. He was employed as a forklift operator at Knouse Foods for 25 years and most recently worked in grounds and maintenance at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church where he was a faithful and active member. Clydie loved VW Bugs, the Native American culture, taking trips to Jamaica, and spending time in “God’s Country” Potter County. There was never a dull moment in Clyde’s presence. His smile and laugh would brighten up the world and he had an even bigger heart that would give to anyone in need. In addition to his father, Clydie is survived by his wife, Penny Reasner Kimple; two daughters, Cassandra Kimple of Fayetteville, and Shaylee Kimple of Mercersburg; seven siblings, Eddie Kimple (Sheila) of Fayetteville, Barb McCoy (Bill “Scott”) of Chambersburg, Mike Kimple, Joni Weaverling (William) of Chambersburg, Peggy Hege (Tim) of Chambersburg, Patti Bumbaugh (Chris) of Fayetteville, and Theresa Stanionis of Waynesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 1095 Church Rd, Orrtanna, PA 17353. Rev. Joseph Carolin will officiate. The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life gathering at the church following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church at the above address.
