Betty Stewart Snyder, 92, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Penn Hall. Born May 14, 1924, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late David and Nancy Roller Stewart. During her life, Betty worked for and retired from the Stanley Company. She had a passion for cooking, enjoyed gardening, and always wanting to help others; she loved being a care giver. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. In addition to her beloved husband, Earl, whom she married October 8, 1967, Betty is survived by several nieces and nephews including, Darlene Stewart Warnock (Doug), Roy E. Rife (Verna), and Elaine Rife Meyers (Gary). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers; and six sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 15, 2016, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 750 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Rick Noll will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
