Harry McCoy

Harry N. McCoy, 70, of Saylorsburg died peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 30 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Judy (Headrick) McCoy. They had celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in December. Born in Bayonne, NJ he was a son of the late Harry A. and Elnora (Jones) McCoy. Harry was a 1963 graduate of Pocono Mountain High School and a 1967 graduate of Muhlenberg College. He was a Certified Public Accountant for forty five years, the last twenty five of which were spent as a partner in the accounting firm of Ruch & McCoy in Stroudsburg. Harry had a passion for sailing and was the treasurer of the Paupack Sailing Club for many years. He also enjoyed scuba diving and canoeing. He was a member of the Western Pocono Lions Club for over twenty years. He had been a Cub Scout Master at one time and he was also an avid reader. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Todd McCoy of Cincinnati, OH; a daughter, Debra Noble and her husband Zachary of Pinedale, WY; a brother, John McCoy and his wife Lorrie of Tannersville; a sister, Judy Fletcher of Manasquan, NJ and three grandchildren, Scott, Hailey and Reese along with many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 3 at 11:00 AM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. George Alt officiating. Cremation will have taken place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western Pocono Community Library, P.O. Box 318, Brodheadsville, PA 18322 or to the West End Ambulance Assn., P.O.
