Caroline Yinger

Caroline N. Yinger, 79,, of Kunkletown, died Monday, May 30 in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Yinger, who passed away in 2008. Born in Adamstown, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Flora (Leed) Krick. She had worked as a nurse's aide at the Kresge Convalescent Home in Gilbert for several years. She was a member of Salem St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kresgeville and she had done volunteer work for the Polk Township Fire Co. She had a great appreciation for nature. Caroline was a gentle soul who just adored her children and grandchildren and loved spending time with family and friends. She made friends everywhere she went, always spoke from her heart and had a great sense of humor. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by three daughters, Christine Yinger of Pompano Beach, FL, Diane Trigiani and her husband Louis of Blairstown, NJ and Cynthia Underwood of Stanhope, NJ; a son, Mark Yinger of Kunkletown; six grandchildren, Joseph, Ryan, Rebecca, William, Johnathan and Dylan; sisters-in-law and brothers-in -law, Vivian Krick, Jackie Krick, Stanley Yinger and his wife Pat, Michael Yinger and his wife Linda and Charles Yinger and his wife Bunny, all of Lancaster County and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Richard, Jack and Pete. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6 at 2:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Deborah Scheffey officiating. Burial will be in Dotters Corner Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. www.kresgefuneralhome.com
