Barbara Hoffman

Barbara A. Hoffman, 81, of Saylorsburg, died Wednesday, June 15th while being a patient at the Easton Hospital. Barbara was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma approximately three years ago and went thru cancer treatments over the years, but died due to the complications associated with the disease. She had a very peaceful death and was looking forward to going to Heaven. She was the daughter of the late Kathryn and Elwood Christian of Saylorsburg. She is survived by her husband, Richard Hoffman of Saylorsburg; a brother, Larry Christian and his wife, Jennie of Converse, Texas; a daughter, Susan Harrop of Charlottesville, Virginia, and a daughter, Kathryn Villoresi of Saylorsburg; also, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Saylorsburg. She loved being a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed using her voice to sing and sang professionally for a number of years in the 1950's. Her greatest love was to tell folks about her relationship with Jesus as her Savior. A Memorial Service will be held at the St. Peter's U.M.Church in Saylorsburg on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Visitation hours are 10-11 AM, with the service following at 11:00 AM. Pastor Adam Jones of Valley View Vineyard Church in Peckville, Pa will be officiating the service. Interment will be held in the Lakeview Cemetery across from the church following the service. Afterwards, a luncheon will be available for all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clara's House, Inc., a non-profit local ministry for unwed mothers.
