Sara D. Coslo, 90, of Bellefonte, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at Garvey Manor Nursing Home in Hollidaysburg. Born on October 15, 1925, in Bellefonte, the daughter of the Victor and Louise (Straub) Dawson. On January 20, 1945, she married Frederick P. Coslo who preceded her in death in 1987. She was a 1942 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. Sara retired as a staff assistant at Penn State University. She was a life member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bellefonte and a past member of the Catholic Daughters. She is survived by one daughter, Judith Moyer and her husband Scott of Duncansville and one son, Dennis Coslo and his wife Cynthia of Bellefonte. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Marsha A. Ginn of Summerville, S.C., one sister, Gladys Kellerman, and two brothers; Dale and Gilbert Dawson. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 9:00 am at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, 134 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte, with Father George Jakopac officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Bellefonte. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
