Richard Lewis Barnhart, age 57, of Bellefonte, died at 6:00 A.M., May 26, 2016 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Rick was born August 8, 1958 in Bellefonte, the son of the late James and Elsie Jordan Barnhart. Rick graduated from the Bellefonte High School in 1976, He had been employed by Cerro, Copper & Brass, and Tussey Mountain. Rick enjoyed riding his Harley and was very interested in restoring vintage lawn mowers and tractors. He was always soft spoken and had many friends who will miss him dearly. He is survived by one sister and two brothers, Debra Chambers and her husband Cordy, of Clarence, Michael Barnhart and his wife Elaine, of Philipsburg, and David Barnhart of Bellefonte. In addition, he is survived by several nieces and nephews, Crista Spratt and her husband Stephen, Corie VonGunden and her husband Talen, Matthew Barnhart, Timothy Barnhart and his wife Mallory, Joshua Barnhart, Christopher Barnhart, Sarah Barnhart, Madison Barnhart, Tynnia Barnhart, Olivia Spratt, Alison Spratt, William Spratt, and Leah VonGunden. At the request of Rick, there will be no public viewing and private funeral services at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 North Spring Street, Bellefonte.
