Wetzler Supervisor 814-355-4261 OBITUARY NANCY JANE HOCKENBERRY SEPTEMBER 13, 1931 – JULY 10, 2016 Nancy Jane Hockenberry, 84, of State College, passed away, Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Centre Crest in Bellefonte. Born on September 13, 1931, in Runville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Eva Crape Lucas. She married Eugene B. Hockenberry who preceded her in death in 1998. She attended the Runville School System. Nancy worked in housekeeping for Penn State University until her retirement. She was a past member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church. Nancy enjoyed playing bingo and slot machines. She also loved spending time with her family. Nancy is survived by six nephews; Charlie and his wife Janette Meyer of Lemont and their son Chuck and Lori Meyer of Milesburg, Ray Meyer of State College, Robert and his wife Darlene Meyer of Smith Port,and other numerous nieces and nephews, and by 2 grandchildren; Joe Hockenberry and Heather Hockenberry. Along with her husband and parents Nancy is preceded in death by one step-son, Howard Hockenberry, two brothers Ray Lucas and Norman Lucas, two sisters; Thelma Davidson and Kathleen Meyer, one nephew; David Allen Meyer.
