Herbert Hollabaugh

H. Kenneth. Hollabaugh, 90, of Bellefonte, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Health South in Pleasant Gap, PA. Born on February 1, 1926, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Herbert and Anna M. Smith Hollabaugh. He married Beverly Jane Myers Hollabaugh who preceded him in death. He was a 1943 graduate of the Bellefonte Area High School. Ken sold cars until he was 35. He then sold insurance for Baltimore Life and then also worked as groundskeeper for Union Cemetery. He was of the Protestant faith. Ken was a veteran who served in the United States Navy during World War II. For his service he received the Pacific Theater Ribbon with one star, the American Theater Ribbon, and the Victory Medal. Ken was a member of the Bellefonte American Legion Post #33. He is survived by two sons; David A Hollabaugh of Howard and Scott C. and Hollabaugh and his wife Marne of North Charleston, SC, one sister, Gladys Tierney of Milesburg, four grandchildren; Tanya Hollabaugh, Tiffany Hollabaugh, Lindsey Hollabaugh, and Marissa Hollabaugh, and two great grandchildren; Madison Grimes and Rylin Dann. Along with his wife and parents he is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth E. Hollabaugh, and two sisters; Betty Hollabaugh and Evelen Hollabaugh. A visitation will be held Friday, May 13, 2016, from 1pm until 2pm, the time of the service at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 North Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will be held Friday, at the funeral home, at 2pm, with the Rev. Frank Skies officiating. Burial will follow at Centre County Memorial Park in College Township.
