Ella Weaver

Ella Mae Weaver, 89, of State College, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Centre Crest Nursing Home. Born on March 24, 1927, in Marsh Creek, PA, the daughter of the late Paul and Sarah (Kessling) Young. She married Henry G. Fiehler, who preceded her in death in 2012. Mae attended Bellefonte Area School System. She is survived by her children: Connie Spencer of Arizona, Gail Catalano of State College, Melvin Fiehler of New Jersey, and Barbara Rickwood of Washington, DC., five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great grandsons. Mae was the sister of Betty Ripka, Fred Weaver, Albert Young, Ronald Young, Mary Shawley, Leona Weaver and Lois Yakich and sister-in-law, Lola Young. She liked to do crafts such as making clothing and quilts for the four generations of her family. Mae also weaved pine needle baskets, and made Native American pottery. Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., in Bellefonte.
