Dennis Dixon

Dennis L. Dixon, 79, of Bellefonte, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township. Born on April 10, 1937, he was the son of the late Kenneth H. Dixon, Sr., and Mabel Butler Dixon. On June 7, 1964, he married Mary Jane Williams Dixon, who survives at home. He was a 1955 graduate of the State College Area High School and also a graduate of Tidewater Community College. Dennis was a veteran who served in the United States Navy. For his service he received the Good Conduct Medal !st Award and the Good Conduct 2nd award. Dennis retired from PNC Bank where he worked as a real estate appraiser. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Pleasant Gap. Along with his wife Dennis is survived by two daughters; Denise Smith and her husband Scott of Centre Hall and Janice Schrack and her husband Robert of Rochester, NY, and four grandchildren; Tabitha, Samantha, Jacob, and Matthew. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Fye and one brother, Kenneth Dixon, Jr. Visitation and services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
