Mass of Christian Burial for Norma Dean (Stutz) Fuksa, 84, of Waukomis, will be Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bison with Father Ed Menasco as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 6 to 7 PM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home for a Rosary Service. Norma Dean was born September 12, 1932 in Bison, OK and passed away September 18, 2016. She was a graduate of Waukomis High School where she played basketball. Norma Dean was united in marriage to Thomas J. Fuksa on October 10, 1950 in Bison, OK and he preceded her in death April 19, 2012. They made their home in Waukomis, and farmed and raised cattle in the Bison area. Norma Dean worked in accounting administration for Coca Cola Bottling Company in Enid and Computer Sciences Corporation at Vance Air Force Base until she retired in 2002. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Bison. Her hobbies included crocheting and she will be remembered for making homemade jams, jellies, salsa and pickling. She participated in numerous local craft shows over the years. Her favorite pastime included watching the OKC Thunder and ‘coaching’ them how to play from the comfort of her recliner. She also enjoyed college football and basketball while ‘critiquing’ the officials. Survivors include her daughter Cindy Lambert-Smith (Fuksa) and husband Phil of Drumright, OK; son Mark Fuksa and wife Daria of Highlands Ranch, CO; four grandchildren, Dustin Lambert, Katie Biswell, John Fuksa, and Michelle Fuksa; and two great-grandsons, Krew and Dash Biswell and a sister, Carrol Fuksa of Enid. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Amanda Stutz, and her brother-in-law, Wilfred Fuksa. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Bison with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
