A Celebration of Life for Lorene June Isbell, 93, of Enid, will be Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Waukomis Cemetery with Mr. Vernon Racer officiating. Mrs. Isbell was born June 10, 1923 in Enid the daughter of Frank and Ella Urban Semrad and passed away October 25, 2016. She attended Prairie View and Waukomis schools except for three years that the family spent in Louisiana when Lorene was a child. She was united in marriage to D.T. (Tom) Isbell August 30, 1943 in Enid Oklahoma and he preceded her in death in 1983. Lorene was a loving homemaker and enjoyed fishing, gardening, growing flowers and most of all she cherished her family. She also baked the best pecan pie. Survivors include her sister, Lynnette (Dean) Hedges of Enid and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Frank, a daughter, Sandra Sue and a brother LaVerne Semrad. The family wishes to thank the staff at Enid Senior Care and Hospice Circle of Love for their kindness and professional care for Lorene and her family. “Auntie” will be greatly missed by all. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Vale Community Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
