Fay Blom

A Celebration of Life for Fay E. Grothe Blom, age, 76 years, of Enid, is 10:00 am, Monday, August 15, 2016 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bill King officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Okeene, OK. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Sunday, August 14, 2016. Fay was born July 12, 1940 in Okeene, Oklahoma on her grandfathers’ homestead, the daughter of Henry and Judith (Bierig) Westfahl, and passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Enid. She graduated from Okeene High School in 1958. Fay was united in marriage to Donald Grothe on October 24, 1959 in Okeene, and he preceded her in death on May 14, 1969. She then married Donald Blom September 16, 1978 in Enid, and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2015. She was a member of the VFW Auxillary, and Faith, Hope and Charity Home Demonstration Club. Fay will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Fay was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Grothe; husband Donald Blom; four brothers, Arlo Doyal, Billy Clayton, Roy and Jerry Westfahl; sister Verla Billings, and nephew, Larry Westfahl. She is survived by two daughters, Cristy Blom and husband Bill, of Enid; Terri Grothe of Oklahoma City; step-son Jay Blom of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, James Blom and wife Tasha of Waukomis; Joshua Blom and Jordan Blom, both of Enid; three great-grandchildren, Kelcy Blom, Madison Blom, and Noah Webb. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
