Private family services have been held for Thomas A. Rood, 62, of Geneva.<br><br>Mr. Rood passed away Monday, July 4, 2016.<br><br>Born October 9, 1953 in Conneaut, he was a lifelong Ashtabula County resident.<br><br>He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era as a Machinists Mate First Class onboard the USS Thomas A. Edison. He was also a member of Evergreen Lodge 222 F. & A.M. in Conneaut and enjoyed horseback riding.<br><br>Mr. Rood was employed as a technical writer at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant.<br><br>Survivors are his daughters, Julie and Maria; sister, Margaret “Peg” (Jeff) Kinsey and brother, Bob Rood. He also leaves his daughters' mother, Iris Bridgens.<br><br>He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Mary (Hiscock) Rood and brother, G.T. Rood. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to The P.R. Private family services have been held for Thomas A. Rood, 62, of Geneva.

Mr. Rood passed away Monday, July 4, 2016.

Born October 9, 1953 in Conneaut, he was a lifelong Ashtabula County resident.
