A celebration of the life of Susan J. (Gottron) Palliser, 63, of Mentor, will be held from 4-7 PM on Monday, August 29, 2016 at The Kennedy House, located across the street from Davis-Babcock Funeral Home at 38039 West Spaulding Street in Willoughby.

Sue passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at her home in Mentor.

Born November 24, 1952 in Cleveland, she was raised in Willoughby Hills and has lived in Mentor for the past 14 years.

From an early age, she always had a love of the farm and different animals, especially horses. As a teenager, she was an avid gymnast and also enjoyed swimming. Sue loved music and playing the piano and also enjoyed many years boating as a member of Chagrin River Yacht Club in Eastlake. Her passion outside of work was her family and traveling.

Sue spent her adult life as an employee of the Lake County YMCA and was currently the Branch Executive at the Central Branch in Painesville.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 43 years, William Palliser, Jr.; her sons, William (Liz) Palliser, III and Brian (Alisha) Palliser and grandsons, William Palliser, IV and Carter Palliser, whom she adored. Sue also leaves her brothers, Robert Gottron and James (Barbara) Gottron and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and LaVerne (Miller) Gottron.
