Funeral services for James A. Blevins, 85, of Mentor, will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Revs. David Martin and Robert Heggestad will officiate at the service. <br><br>Mr. Blevins passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at Mapleview Country Villa in Chardon.<br><br>Born March 8, 1931 in Crab Orchard, KY , he has lived in Mentor for the past 15 years.<br><br>He was a United States Army veteran and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mentor.<br><br>Survivors are his daughters, Barb (Bud) Clemence of Eastlake, Darlene (Anthony) Gareau of Omaha, NE, Diane (Marc) Goldfarb of Bay Village and Julie Blevins of Chardon; son, Darrell (Annie) Blevins of Willoughby; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Eula Marie Polumbo, Myrtle Ann Thompson, Helen Frankie Albright, Lee-Etta Faye Brock and Mary Francis Sisson. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families. <br><br>He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Irene Blevins on September 9, 2014. His parents, Arthur Clement and Julia Cordelia (Metcalf) Blevins,; brother, Marvin Clement Blevins; sisters, Pauline Esther Thompson, Dorothy Mae Jones, Nellie Elzina Baxter and Lula Jane Peters and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Mary Martin are also deceased <br><br>The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the funeral home.<br><br>Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township, following the service on Wednesday.<br><br>To order flowers, light a candle or send a condolence to the family, please visit www.davisbabcock.com<br><br><br>.<br>
