Services for Herbert Hamlin, 86, of Willoughby, will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.<br><br>The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the funeral home. <br><br>Mr. Hamlin passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at his home.<br><br>Born January 30, 1930 in Smith, Kentucky he has lived in Willoughby for more than 55 years.<br><br>He was a United States Army veteran and attended Eastlake Baptist Church. He enjoyed blue grass music and played the mandolin and guitar. <br><br>Mr. Hamlin was employed at the former Ohio Rubber Company in Willoughby, retiring in 1992.<br><br>Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Helen (nee: Hall) (Livingston) Hamlin; step-daughter, Glenda Livingston of Willoughby; sisters, Irene Hensley, Lola Dilbeck, Wanda Wiley, Lois Burden and Zelma Moudy. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.<br><br>He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florence (Hensley) Hamlin and his sister, Angeline Earls.<br><br>Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township following the service on Wednesday.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Inc., 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110 or the Veterans Administration, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106. <br>
