Diana Lynn Leopold Marietta, Ohio Obituary

Diana Lynn Leopold

Diana Lynn Leopold, 63, of Belpre, died Monday, July 4, 2016 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family. She was born on November 9, 1952 in Caldwell, Ohio to Wilbert and Thelma Schott Kinnen. She graduated from Caldwell High School and went through the radiology program at Marietta Memorial Hospital and was a certified Radiology Tech in Nuclear Medicine and CT Scanning. Diana worked at MMH for 35 years and was a driving force behind the Love Lights program. She especially loved Christmas and took pride in presenting thoughtful gifts to everyone she knew. She loved flowers, decorating and making "ordinary" things look beautiful. She enjoyed cooking for others and trying new recipes. She had a special appreciation for antiques and the history they represent. Diana was a generous and caring person who put others before herself. She had a deep unconditional love for her family, especially her husband, Dr. Kenneth Leopold, whom she married on December 10, 2004. Together, they had joyful adventures in everyday life: raising four dogs, watching movies and spending time together. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother of Caldwell; brothers, Dale Kinnen of Cleveland, and Dennis Kinnen (Cindy) of Cumberland; stepchildren, Gil Leopold (Audrey) of Hampton, VA, and Jessica Leopold Simpson (Ricky) of Vass, NC; three stepgrandchildren, Olivia Lazar, Bryce and Gabriel Simpson, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Binegar, and stepdaughter, Rachel Leopold. Abiding with the family's wishes, private memorial services will be held at a later time. Contributions to Memorial Health Foundation or the Washington County Humane Society would've been especially meaningful to Diana, as both these organizations were particularly close to her heart.
