JEFFREY STONEHILL Obituary

Jeffrey Scott Stonehill, age 60 of Columbus, Ohio went to be with his precious Lord and Savior Jesus on September 23, 2016. He was born on November 8, 1955 in Bluffton, Ohio to Elmer Dean and Gypsy Jo “Jo” Stonehill (Haller). Jeff lived in Moraine, Ohio before moving to Columbus, Ohio about 5 years ago. He is survived by his brother Greg (Debby) Stonehill, his sister Teresa Stonehill-Washington, his nieces, nephew, grandniece and close relative: Carolyn (Justin) Stoermer, Jacob “Jake” Christian Dean Stonehill, Katherine “Katie” Rose Stonehill, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Aisha Mariama Washington, Ariel Saran Amaris Washington and Azaria Bell Estoria Harvard-Washington and his best friend Layton “Layt” Ogle. He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents Herbert & Vera Haller and Clarence and Marie Stonehill. Jeff loved life, he loved children and he loved his family. Jeff was a huge sports fan-baseball, football and wrestling (WWF). His teams included the Columbus Clippers, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Dayton Dragons, Toledo Mud Hens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Miami Dolphins, and Boston Celtics-many of these teams reflective of places that our family had lived. Jeff loved trivia and music and could amazingly recall statistics, facts and figures with his photographic mind and memory-our little Einstein. Jeff was an alumni of Miami University (go Big Ben-go Steelers) graduating with a Marketing Degree in 1984. We cherish you our lovely beautiful Jeffrey, our encourager, our best bud and best friend. We will miss your persistence to tell the world about Jesus, your unwavering loyalty to your family & friends, your determination to never give up and to never leave any family member behind, your constant unselfishness, your ability to look past our reckless words and love us unconditionally as only you could do, your commitment to purity, your brilliant genius, your humor, your happy birthday renditions, and your awesome impersonations. Jeff you were our sweet treasure beyond measure “our Chet”, “our Uncle Chatter”, our dear brother, our uncle, our friend. We are saddened beyond belief to lose you. We know that heaven is rejoicing and celebrating you and your beautiful free spirit. Services celebrating Jeff’s life will be held on Sat., 10/8 in Bluffton, Ohio at Chiles Laman Funeral Home, 239 S. Main St., Bluffton, Ohio 45817 with visitation from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service.
