Mary E. Beebe, 87, Genealogy Researcher Mary E. Beebe, 87, dearly loved mom, grandma and great-grandma passed away October 19, 2016 at The Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Ashland with her family by her side. Mary was born December 14, 1928 in Carleton, Michigan, the daughter of Adam and Julia (nee Sulek) Hovorka. She was a 1947 graduate of Eaton High School near Grafton, Ohio. Mary resided in North Eaton and Brighton, before settling at the farm in Orange Township in 1957, where she spent most of her years before moving into Ashland in 2012. Mary was employed at various companies in Ashland during her life, including the F. E .Myers Co. as a timekeeper--for which she made and decorated the cakes to celebrate their 100th anniversary at Cedar Point in 1970. Mary was a member of Sullivan Chapter #499 Ohio Eastern Stars, where she served as a Past Matron. She was also an avid researcher for the family tree through genealogy, traveling to Washington, D.C., Salt Lake City, UT, and everywhere in between. On November 21, 1947, Mary married Ralph E. Beebe, deceased, in Campbell, KY. To this marriage, they were blessed with four children, Gail M. (Scott) Lochmandy of Georgia, Jennifer L. (Phil) Clark of Ashland, Gerald M. Beebe of Nova, and Pamela L. Beebe. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Melissa Gerwig Lance, Melinda Gerwig Hammer, Bryan Gerwig, Randall J. Hall, Russell E. Hall and Joshua Beebe; ten great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, sixteen step-great-grandchildren, and her sister, Sherrell L. Reinhardt of Medina, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph E. Beebe; infant daughter, Pamela Lou Beebe; grandsons, Ryan C. Hall and Jeffrey M. Beebe. Friends may call an hour prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and in respecting her wishes, a private family service will be held at Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with burial immediately following the service at Brighton Township Cemetery with Chaplain Julie Thoms officiating on Monday, October 24, 2016.
