Marilyn Uebel

Marilyn J. Uebel, 91 Marilyn J. Uebel, 91, of Ashland passed away, Monday, August 15, 2016 in the Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 3, 1924 in Ashland to the late Paul and Nellie (nee Bevington) Sponsler. Marilyn was a graduate of Ashland High School, Class of 1942. She married Robert E. Uebel on October 23, 1947. The couple shared 44 wonderful years together. Marilyn retired from Hawkins Grocery Store where she worked in the bakery for many years. She was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church. Marilyn was an avid sunbather and enjoyed being outside. She is survived by one son, Paul Uebel of Ashland; one grandson Robert Uebel of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Uebel whom passed away, December 27, 1991; and one brother, Raymond Sponsler. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Allan Bevere officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call ½ hour prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 220 Sandusky Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 or to Ashland Council on Aging, 240 East 3rd Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
