Leroy Roberts, 82 Leroy Roberts, 82, of Ashland passed away, Sunday morning, July 3, 2016 in Crystal Care. He was born February 16, 1934 to the late Everett and Alice (nee Martin) Roberts. Leroy was a 1951 graduate of Ashland High School. Following graduation, Leroy proudly served in the United States Army in the 101 st Airborne. He also served in the National Guard in Ashland. He married the love of his life, the former Georgian M “Jo” Corrall on June 6, 1953. They celebrated 58 years together. He retired after more than 30 years from White Westinghouse in 1993. Leroy attended Maple Grove Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Leroy will be remembered fondly as being a devoted husband and loving father to his children and grandchildren. He is survived by one daughter, Michelle Roberts of Ashland; two sons, Mark L. (Lillian) Roberts and Mike D. (Patricia) Roberts, both of Ashland; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and one sister, JoAnn Wood of Florida. In addition to his parents, Leroy is preceded in death by his wife, Georgian M. Roberts who passed away March 30, 2012; and one grandson, Michael Alan Roberts in 2002. Interment will be Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ashland Cemetery where the Ashland Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home, 313 Center Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 to assist the family with expenses.
