Gary R. Lindecamp, 63 of Ashland, passed away Tuesday July 5, 2016 at the James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio following a brief illness. Gary was born in Ashland, Ohio on November 8, 1952 and was the son of the late Gerald E. and Dorothy R. (Zechman) Lindecamp. He was a graduate of Ashland High School and following graduation joined the U. S. Air Force where he served as a Drill Instructor at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX., during the Vietnam War. He was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Custom Hoist retiring in 2014. Gary was an avid golfer, he also enjoyed wood-working making many pieces of furniture in his home and designing and building his back deck and he enjoyed doing his own yard work and designing and tending to the flower gardens at his home. On October 24, 1991 he was married to Jackie Gast who survives him. He is also survived by one sister, Debbie G. (David) Lash of Ashland and their children, Darbi (Joe) Hendershot, Donna (Mike) Massey and Darrin (Amy) Lash; two sisters-in-law, Judy (Mike) Dunne-Keefe of Collinsville, IL. And their children Michelle (Kevin) Beasley and Molly (Eric) White; and Janit (Gary) Kehl of Sebastian, FL; and their son Brigham Miller and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday July 9, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. at the family home, 2319 Woodview CT. Ashland with a Prayer Service, officiated by Rev. Donald Earlenbaugh, at 4:00 p.m. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
