Duane A. Highman, 55 Duane A. Highman, 55 of Ashland passed away unexpectedly Friday October 14, 2016 at his residence in Ashland. Duane was born in Ashland on September 3, 1961 and was the son of Catherine Loretta Highman. He was a graduate of Ashland High School and had been a resident of Ashland all of his life. He had worked at Perkins restaurant, Precision Latex and more recently in the Janitorial division at ODOT in Ashland. He enjoyed watching Horror Movies, listening to Rock & Roll and Heavy Metal Music, NASCAR and his pet cats. Duane was a kind hearted person who will be greatly missed by his cousins, friends and his feline companion Simon. He was preceded in death by his mother, and by his beloved aunt and uncle, Sharon and Lester Weitzel. Private Graveside services were observed at the Ashland Cemetery with the Rev. John Balllinger officiating. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions in Duane’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or to the Ashland County Humane Society, P.O. Box 114, Ashland, Ohio 44805. Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home handling the arrangements for Mr. Highman’s family.
