Charles R. “Chuck” Eckert Jr. Charles R. “Chuck” Eckert Jr., 72, of Ashland passed away, Saturday morning, August 20, 2016 in his home following a courageous battle with Cancer. He was born May 2, 1944 in Washington, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Beulah (nee Miller) Eckert Sr. Chuck graduated from Washington High School, Class of 1962. He married the love of his life, the former Geraldine M. Zollars. Chuck retired after more than 12 years from Jones Potato Chip where he was a National Sales Manager. He enjoyed hunting deer and small game. Chuck was avid vegetable gardener. Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Gerry Eckert of Ashland; two sons, Christopher (Kelli) Eckert of San Mateo, California and Eric (Felicia) Eckert of Kohler, Wisconsin; two step granddaughters, Jacquelynn Endsley of Indianapolis, Indiana and Dr. Whitney (Dr. Tyler) Blakley of Indianapolis, Indiana; one sister, Judith Bignardi of Ashland; and one brother, Ronald (Eunice) Eckert of Pensacola, Florida. In addition to his parents, Chuck is preceded in death by one infant brother, Gary Eckert; and one sister, Betty Humphries. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland County Cancer Association, 380 East 4th Street, Ashland, Ohio, 44805.
