Peggy Ledford West, 65, of Chesnee, formerly of Rutherfordton, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Bonnie McAbee Ledford. Peggy was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church, and a former employee of Daniel Furniture Company in Spindale, NC as well as Watson Furniture in Chesnee,SC. She was a loving mother to Lisa West Nelon and husband Brian of Rutherfordton; Lori West Henson and husband Robert of Georgia; Matt West of Rutherfordton; grandmother to seven grandchildren, and G-nanney to nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Phil Ledford and wife Sandra of Forest City, Mike Ledford of Forest City and one sister Darlene White and husband Wayne of Rutherfordton, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark West, and a brother Steve Ledford. The family will receive friends from 1 – 3 PM Sunday July 24, 2016 at Crowe’s Mortuary. The funeral service will be held at 3 PM in Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tommy Hutchins and Rev. Deb Jeffords officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
