Alva June Morse Alva June Wilson Morse, 89, of Marion, formerly of Rutherfordton, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Autumn Care of Marion. A native of Clinton, SC, she was the daughter of the late George Atkins and Varina Bartlett Wilson. She was a homemaker. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Judith Gaskill and husband Jim of Nebo, NC; sons, Ray Morse of Rutherfordton and Ronald Earl Morse of Asheville, NC; five grandchildren Beth Bumpus, Heather Murphy, Shane Morse, Sarah Morse, and Laura Morse; eight great grandchildren Alexis Morse, Sierra Morse, Madison Morse, Macee Murphy, Olivia Murphy, Christopher Bumpus, Amber Bumpus, and Ryan Bumpus; sister, Vera Johnson and brother, Al Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Morse; sisters, Betty Ann Alenwine and Leah Wilson; and brothers Joe Wilson, George A. Wilson Jr. and James Wilson.
