Roy "Ken" Hedden Obituary

Roy Kenneth “Ken” Hedden, 74, of Cullowhee, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Born in Jackson Co, he was the son of the late Roy O. Hedden and Ailene Peek Hedden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ann Pope. Ken owned and operated Hedden Tire and Auto shop. He enjoyed horseback riding, traveling, bear hunting, going to auctions and trading. He was a member of Yellow Mountain Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Kristi Birchfield and husband Shannon of Cumming, GA and Beverly Aquilino and husband Christopher of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Jean Hedden of Cullowhee, Mary Ellen Pruitt of McDonough, GA and Carolyn Anderson of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Kenley and Avery Birchfield and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1st at Yellow Mountain Baptist Church. Rev. Carl Stepp and Rev. Keith Ashe will officiate. Burial will be in the Evitt Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Yellow Mountain Baptist Church. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences can be made at maconfuneralhome.com
