Robert Trafford

Robert J. Trafford, 90, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016. Born in Lake Worth, FL, he was the son of the late Arthur Alfred Trafford and Jean Barbara Trafford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Trafford and one sister, Jean Heselton. Robert was a US Navy veteran and served during WWII. He was a founding member of the Kiwanis Club in Franklin and member of First Presbyterian Church. He is survived by three children, Karen Noeth of Franklin, T. Neal Trafford and wife Donna of Tallahassee, FL and Bruce F. Trafford and wife Mary Jo of Owens Cross Roads, AL; two sisters, Barbara Pearson of Moultrie, GA and Margaret Stuart of West Palm Beach, FL; five grandchildren; one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 23rd in the Memorial Gardens of First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Memorial Gardens at First Presbyterian Church, 45 Church Street, Franklin, NC 28734. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
