Nan Perry Obituary

Nan Elizabeth Perry, 67, of Franklin, peacefully entered Heaven on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. At her side were her close friends, family and her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, William “Duffie” and Audrey Shuford and brother, “Brownie” Shuford. She was also preceded in death by her beloved cat, “Charlie”. Nan was a fun-loving person and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was an absolutely great mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Intelligent, thoughtful, loving and precise would best describe her. She was born in Asheville, NC and grew up in Franklin and St. Pete, Florida. She went to work for Home Depot at its inception as a computer whiz; working for Bernie Marcus at their home office in Atlanta and retiring in 1993. Nan loved gardening, yard work, and anything to do with the Heavens. She was also a Star Trek enthusiast extraordinaire. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her or came in contact with her; she was so precious! She is survived by her companion and love, Michael Coates of the home; children, Todd Perry (Christie) and Matthew Perry (Jill); grandchildren, Brittany and Camerron and two great grandchildren, all of Douglasville, GA. No services have been planned at this time. A memorial service will be held in the near future in Franklin and Douglasville, GA. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
