Betty Jean McFadden, 85, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Harmon and Jeannie Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Boyd McFadden, MD who died in 2012. Betty was a retired Nurse Practitioner working with her husband in his medical practice. She played in the Gospel Travelers Band alongside her husband for 10 years and enjoyed blue grass music. She is survived by her four children, Betty McFadden, MD of Greenville, SC, Suzanna Workman of Anderson, SC, Earl B. McFadden, Jr. MD of Columbia, SC and Lorena M. Cosentino, CRNA of Franklin and eleven grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
