Eileen Breedlove

Brevard-Eileen F. Breedlove, 94, died peacefully at home on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Mrs. Breedlove was preceded in death by her beloved husband, "Jack" Breedlove. She is survived by three daughters Jackie Whitmire (husband, Jimmy Whitmire), Susan Breedlove, and Sarah Shull (husband, Joe Shull). She has two grandchildren (Chris Whitmire (wife, Shannon Whitmire) and Brittany Whitmire (husband, Andy VonCanon) and four great grandchildren (Allison, Weston and Luke Whitmire and Maggie VonCanon). Mrs. Breedlove received living care at home from Missy Chrisman, Debbie Connelly, Sharon Riddle, Cassie Chrisman and Jennifer Bradford. Mrs. Breedlove, a member of the Greatest Generation, was a veteran of the British Air Force and the spouse of a US Air Force veteran. She was a strong, brave woman who left her native England over 70 years ago to marry the American soldier who stole her heart and moved her all over the world, finally settling in Brevard. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and she served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher and member of many committees in each of the places she and Jack lived. She also dedicated many hours to the Lake Toxaway Community Center when she and "Jack" lived in that area. Moody-Connolly Funeral Home will be handling the services for Eileen Breedlove. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 26, at 11am at Lake Toxaway Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First Baptist Church Sanctuary Renovation Fund. Donations may be mailed to the church at the following address: 94 S. Gaston St, Brevard, NC 28712.
