Michael Boggs-Rogers

The family of Enka Candler Fire and Rescue reports Last Call for Michael Stranger Boggs-Rogers on July 29, 2016. Michael’s family celebrates his life as a gentle, compassionate, career driven, young man, remembering his dreams and wants to pass them on to all. Michael had a passion; that passion was to be a firefighter, a firefighter at Enka Candler Fire and Rescue. Michael worked hard towards fulfilling this dream. He attended several firefighting schools as they were available and recently became an EMT. He had a dream and willing to do what it took to make that dream reality. Michael was born April 7, 1995 to Michael Rogers and Tina Boggs. He was a 2014 graduate of Enka High School, served in ROTC, and recently attended AB Tech. Michael was the evening manager of the Deli at Ingles, and volunteer firefighter at Enka Candler Fire and Rescue. He was a loving son, brother, fiancé and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Michael is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carol Boggs; paternal grandfather, Bob Rogers; and uncles, Michael Boggs and Duke Rogers. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Stormie Rogers; fiancé, Jessica Gross and daughter, “Miss Lillian”; paternal grandmother, Betsy Rogers; aunts, Deborah Rogers (Kevin), Donna Cash, Joyce Coleman, and Valerie Boggs; uncles, Tim Rogers (Gail), and Wayne Boggs; and cousins, Rebakah Rogers, Rachel Cash, Joshua Cash, Kristopher Grissom, and Michael Boggs. A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Michael’s memory be made to Enka Candler Fire and Rescue, PO Box 340, Candler, NC 28715.
