Clarence David Dillingham, 73, of Asheville, passed away June 15, 2016. Mr. Dillingham was born October 25, 1942 in Buncombe County to the late Charles B. and Geneva Rayburn Dillingham. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Vietnam War on the USS Guam as a Lieutenant. He also owned and operated Dillingham Construction for many years. Clarence is survived by his son, David Drew Dillingham of Conway, SC; step-daughter, Sheila Dillingham; sisters, Sara Skowron (Joe) and Marian Joyce Dillingham both of Florida; brother, Jimmy (Alyce) Dillingham of Florida; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 10:30 am at Harwood Home for Funerals. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be held at 12:00 noon in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
