Barbara Miles, age 82, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Rogers will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until funeral hour. Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 20, 2016 in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 962 Old US Hwy W., Black Mountain, NC, 28711. Mrs. Miles was a housewife, mother, business woman, and volunteer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Swannanoa, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph W. Davis and Mary Will Tallent Davis; husband, George W. Miles, Jr., and granddaughter, Andriel Lauren Gaddis. Survivors include her children; George W. Miles, III (Julianne), of Perry, Debra A. Breeden (Fred), of Salisbury, NC, and Myra J. Miles, Robert G. Miles (Freddie), and Mary J. Sewell (Thomas), all of Dublin; grandchildren, George W. Miles, IV (Gabriella), of Melbourne, FL, Katherine Andel and Rebecca Brittain (Scott), both of Perry, Tabitha Sewell, Madison Sewell, and Makinna Sewell, all of Dublin, Donald R. Gaddis, Jr., of Milledgeville, Dr. Morgan Miles, of Tulsa, OK, Dr. Meredith Miles, of Augusta, and Ross Miles (Jordan) and Gary Hess, both of Dublin; great-grandchildren, Alayna Hess, of Dublin, and Allyson Simmons, Alexis McDowell and Lilith Andel, all of Perry.
