Mary DelRegno

Mary DelRegno, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away August 13, 2016 surrounded by her loving children. She was 87 years old. Mary was born in Cliffside, NJ, Dec. 31, 1928. She married her best friend and lifelong Nyack resident George DelRegno, November 13, 1949 and raised 7 children in the house known as Tranquility in South Nyack. A caring mother figure to everyone, she was preceded in death by her husband George. Her life was full of love, laughter and a sense of style. As a tribute to her, a likeness of her face is painted on a totem pole on the corner of Clinton and Broadway. Mary had a strong spiritual strength, was a lifelong member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and Rosary Society. She is survived by her brother Charles Bonsangue, children Sandra, Charles, Susanne, James, Lisa, Anthony (Jane, his wife), and Diane, and blessed with 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several beloved nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday August 17th at 10:00am at Saint Ann’s R.C. Church in Nyack with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Nyack. Visiting hours are scheduled for Tuesday August 16th 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack.
