Joe Junior Tisdale departed this life on July 3, 2016 at the age of 79. He was born on November 30, 1936 to the late Linwood and Mary Tisdale in South Hill, VA. Joe was married to Wallicia (May) Tisdale for 61 years. He retired from Rockland Psychiatric Center and Nathan Kline Institute in Orangeburg, NY in 1992. He was a member of First Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Nyack, NY. Joe was predeceased by both parents, Linwood and Mary Tisdale; sister, Viola Kelly; twin brother, Jonnie Tisdale. His memory will be cherished by his loving family: wife, Wallicia Tisdale; 2 sisters, Ruth Bragg and Edith Blackwell; 2 daughters, Shelia Tisdale-DeFreese and Patricia Tisdale-Lane; 3 Grandchildren, Wallicia Sandaire (Jean), Jenera DeFreese, and Shannon Lane; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 4pm to 7pm at Hannemann Funneral Home, 88 S Broadway Nyack, NY. Homegoing service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11am at Grace Episcopal Church, 130 1st Ave Nyack, NY with Pastor Everett L Newton officiating.
