Andrew J. Gallin, beloved by everyone whose life he touched, passed away on June 29, 2016. He leaves behind a grieving family, community of friends and generation of Nyack/Valley Cottage children. Although he grew up in Great Neck, NY, and spent his college years in South Carolina, Andy made Nyack, NY, his home. As President of NCA, he built life-long relationships with both his clients and his partner, Randy. Andy filled his 66 years playing hard, working hard and caring for and about people. His gruff exterior betrayed a man with a heart of gold who was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and coach. He played and watched everything. But football – Great Neck South Rebels, University of South Carolina Gamecocks, Valley Cottage Indians, Nyack Indians, Colgate Raiders, NY Giants – was his life-long passion. Born in Queens, NY, to Paul and Evelyn Gallin, Andy is survived by his his wife, Nancy; children, Alexander, Bradley and Caroline; sisters and their husbands, Merri and Gil, Audrey and Howard; in-laws, Al and Kathy; nieces and nephews, Shana, Craig, Tovah, Adam, Sara and Eric, and their children, all of whom mourn his passing. Hannemann Funeral Home in Nyack will host a remembrance and celebration of Andy’s life on Tuesday, July 5th, 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Nyack-Valley Cottage Indians or Nyack Monday Morning Quarterbacks.
