Marie Randio Obituary

LATHAM - Marie B. (Brand) Randio, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2016 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn in Albany. Born in Albany, Marie was the daughter of the late James F. and Anna (Murphy) Brand. She was a graduate of the former St. John's High School in Albany and was employed for 40 years, as a teletype operator, by the Associated Press in Albany. Marie was a devout Catholic who expressed her faith through her love for and dedication to her family, and by attending daily Mass. Marie loved her family. Her nieces and nephews, whom she cared for and doted over, loved her in return and filled her heart with much pride. Her passing leaves all of them with a void in their hearts that can only be filled with the happy memories of a much loved and cherished aunt. She was an active member of the Columbiettes and was a communicant of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville. Marie's family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Community Hospice at St. Peter's Hospice Inn, and especially acknowledge Christine, Yvonne, Deb, Sharon and Loretta for the care they gave to Marie and the support offered to her family. She was the beloved wife, for 68 years of Ralph S. Randio; the loving aunt of Donna Hartman Jones and her husband Brian Jones, James Brand and his wife Marianne, John "Jack" Brand and his wife Marce, the late Timothy Brand whose wife Christine survives, Robert Brand and his wife Lynn and Joseph Brand and his wife Caren.
