Thelma Price was born on October 14, 1938 in Jamaica Queens, New York to the late Fred Weaver and Cora Weaver. Thelma departed this life on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 8:05 am.
Thelma attended school in Jamaica Queens, New York and was a long-standing member of Bayside Community Church of God in Christ. Thelma met and married Willie Alfonso Price, Sr, in 1960. From that union she had six children.
Thelma was employed for over thirty years at the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities. She worked at the Bernard Fineson Developmental Center in Queens Village, New York.
Thelma was known by many who knew her for helping everyone she could, even if it meant putting herself second. She was a generous, charitable, understanding and a caring person.
To cherish her life, she leaves behind five kids Laverne, Owen, Willie Jr., Darrell and Donnell, thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters Judy of New York and Dorothy of New Jersey. One brother-in-law Leroy Bryant and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Farewell to our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and best friend.
Rest in the Heavens. You will be truly missed
