Lisa Harris Jamaica, New York Obituary

Lisa Harris

Our Beloved, Mother, Daughter and Sister, Lisa Harris went home to be with the Lord after a long and courageous battle with cancer at her home in Jamaica, Queens on Friday December 6, 2013. Lisa was born on October 7th, 1967 to her parents Louis Harris and Carolyn Spillers Harris-Wallace at Cumberland Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Growing up she attended Boys and Girls High School in Brooklyn, and later went on to work for Waldbaums as a Bakery Clerk; where she had countless friends before she left work due to illness. Lisa Harris was a devoted Mother who loved and cared deeply for her children. She wanted the best education for her children and went far above and beyond to ensure her children received the best education that they deserved. In her eyes school always came first. Lisa enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She cared deeply for her parents, siblings and extended family. She told stories that would captivate you and fill you with laughter and pure joy. Her heart was gentle and kind, she would give you the last dollar she had or the coat off her back. Her philanthropic works in the community and in the church touched many people. She loved shopping. Lisa had coupons ready at hand at all times rather it was for food and/or clothes. She enjoyed listening to music and watching movies. Most of all she enjoyed being around her family during the holidays and spending quality time with the people she loved. Predeceased in death was her loving Aunt Cindy Spillers. Surviving to cherish her memory is: Beloved companion Curtis Haskins. Children: Shaquanna Patterson; Saquan Harris; Devonte Harrison; Davonna Harris and Curlayjah Haskins.
